The Small Vase Quiz

You Are Sophisticated
You are well known for your sense of style. You tend to influence others without even meaning to.
You are a trendsetter and a spotlight stealer. Even when you're just laying low, people notice you.

You may have a high social status, but you are still accessible. In fact, you are quite warmhearted.
You are always ready to make a new friend, and you don't judge based on appearances.

The Ugliest Shoes in History

The shoes listed are ugly but somehow the shoes from Kanye West's Spring 2012 collection were not included on the list and I really think they should be. Just look at them:

My "favorite" ugly shoe has to be Alexander McQueen's Armadillo shoes.  Very creepy, but so cool. See:

Ever wonder what place was exactly the opposite from you on the globe?

Look it up on the Antipodes Map.

Contrary to what I was told when I was a kid, if I dig a hole straight down I will end up off the coast of Madagascar, not China.  To get to China I would have to start digging in Argentina.

41 Regrettably Tacky Photos of Famous People

Not included on the list is my favorite bad photo of my favorite actor:

In my opinion, the biggest contributors of awkward and tacky celebrity photos are Entertainment Weekly and The Face.  The best bad photographer is Terry Richardson.

"I'm Not Being Racist, But..."

P.S. Nice point about the Pepsi/Coke thing. My family calls all soft drinks "coke" even when they are not Coke. When I go to a restuarant and ask for a coke I really mean a Pepsi because I prefer Pepsi. When the server says they don't have Coke, but is Pepsi okay, I am actually glad.

Retro Pattern Test

You Are Unique

You are original and a total nonconformist. You take a lot of pride in doing your own thing.

In fact, you can be downright defiant at times. You don't like anyone telling you what to do.

While you are a rebel, you are also extremely tolerant and accepting. You think people should be themselves.

You are laid back and easy going. You refuse to participate in the rat race, and you're better off for it.

Why'd I Rather Be Punched in the Testicles Than Call Customer Service

About hold music:  Once when I was on hold the hold music came straight from the radio.  It sounded like someone was holding the phone up to a radio.  Anyway, I would hear a person speak and I would get excited because I thought I'd finally got through to a customer service rep, but no, it was always just the DJ.  And then the commercials.  There is nothing more annoying than being on hold and having to listen to commercials.

There's a good chance that your life has gotten a little too plain and vanilla lately.

You'd really like your days to be a little brighter and more inspired. You need more beauty!

Aesthetics and style are very important to you. You try not to let too much ugliness into your house.

It's likely that you have your dream house, dream car, dream view, and dream wardrobe etched out carefully in your mind.

6 Misleading Assumptions You Make About Quiet People

Assumption #2:  I get this all the time.  I am not angry and I'm not planning on killing anyone, this is just how my face looks. But now that you're making a big deal about my face I really am now angry and planning on killing you.

Assumption #1:  Since I am quiet, many people get the this weird notion that I am very deep and introspective and am an all around intelligent person.  Not true.  People always think I'm smart and they are always disappointed when they find out that I'm not.

LIA: Version 7 - Marie Antoinette

I think I am mostly done with the new design, maybe a few more tweaks and I'm good.  It is very Green and girly, but I like it.  A few thing I don't like are the tags in the footer of each post seems to not be available and that icky dashed line in the footer of the blog.  Anyone know how to fix these problems or are these thing I will just have to deal with by using this template?

Best Music of 2011 So Far

Here is my list of music that I have enjoyed so far this year:

Album: Glee: The Music, Volume 5
Artist: Glee Cast
Highlights: "Thriller / Heads Will Roll," "Don't You Want Me"
Comments: I think I may be the only person in the world that liked the Michael Jackson/ Yeah Yeah Yeahs mash up

Album: La Sera
Artist: La Sera
Highlights: "Never Come Around" "You're Going to Cry"

Album: Born This Way
Artist: Lady Gaga
Highlights: "Born This Way" "Government Hooker" "Judas" "Bloody Mary" "Electric Chapel" "You and I" "The Edge of Glory"
Comments: I couldn't have a list of music of 2011 without mentioning the Gaga. My first reaction to the album was that it was very 1980s and very Catholic, and I wasn't sure if that was a good thing. I have decided that, in fact, it is a good thing. "The Edge of Glory" is a perfectly fun pop song. "Born This Way" is also good, but I am uncomfortable with the use of the word "orient." When "Judas" was first released I thought it was complete crap, but it has grown on me.

Album: Her 12 Faces
Artist: Lanu
Highlights: "Hold Me Down" "Wire" "Roosevelt Blues" "Fall"

Album: Strange Hearts
Artist: Secret Cities
Highlights: "No Pressure" "Portland"

Album: Angles
Artist: The Strokes
Highlights: "Under Cover of Darkness" "Taken For a Fool" "Gratisfaction"
Comments: "Gratisfation" = The Strokes

Albun: Cape Dory
Artist: Tennis
Highlights: "Marathon" "Pigeon"

Ok, after looking over this list I think I have a thing for Indie Pop bands with female singers that make music inspired by the 50s and 60s.

What Color Crayon Are You? Quiz

You Are a Green Crayon

Your world is colored in harmonious, peaceful, natural colors.

While some may associate green with money, you are one of the least materialistic people around.

Comfort is important to you. You like to feel as relaxed as possible - and you try to make others feel at ease.

You're very happy with who you are, and it certainly shows!

Your color wheel opposite is red. Every time you feel grounded, a red person does their best to shake you.
