What's Your Celtic Horoscope? Quiz
| You Are A Poplar Tree |
People tend to look up to you, and it's a bit lonely at the top. Inside, you are not always self confident, but you show great courage. Mature and organized, you are reliable in any situation. The 2008 Presidential Ticket Quiz
You're Clark-Gravel!
As Wesley Clark, you are willing to fight and have a long history of doing so. In fact,
this is the only reason that people like you or think of you as a viable person. You have
somewhat unusual views for a fighter, but you're still ready to rough some people up. You
also have a bad habit of hesitating rather than being decisive. While some are ready to unite
behind you, many are afraid of your tendency towards balkanization.
You select Mike Gravel as your running mate to help you seem young and vibrant.
Take the 2008 Presidential Ticket Quiz
at the Blue Pyramid.

The Sweet Escape
On Saturday, June 23 I attended a Gwen Stefani concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA. Here are my pics and comments on the concert.
Waiting for the Opening Act to start:

I liked Lady Sovereign. She complained about the price of booze and made fun of the O.C. ("Like, OMG, I was sooo sad when The O.C. was canceled!")
Waiting for Akon to start:

Sadly he behaved and didn't hump a teenager, then throw her in to the audience like I was hoping for,but he did ask if there were any kids he could throw into the audience. I liked Akon's DJ better than Akon. The DJ wore a kilt and ran through the audience.
The show starts!:

The Harajuku Girls came through the audience with flashlights; Gwen came out on stage in a golden jail cell and the Girls released her. Akon came back out and sung "The Sweet Escape" with Gwen.
At the end of the song Gwen thanked Akon for going on tour with her. Akon then pick up Gwen, threw her over his shoulder and slapped her ass. Ha!
After that Gwen sang "Rich Girl" and the jail cell turned in to a safe which the H Girls broke in to.
I can't remember the exact song order after that so here's what I remember and bunch of pictures:
I think she sang "Yummy" here. With cupcakes! And Gwen dress as a baker!
"Luxurious," which had a Geisha theme:

I think she sang "Early Winter" here
"Wind It Up":

"Hollaback Girl":

I think Gwen sang "Danger Zone" and "4 in the Morning" about here
"Wonderful Life":

"What You Waiting For?":

Some time around here Gwen ran out to the audience to sing "Cool."
Gwen did a medley of "Don't Get It Twisted" and "Breakin' Up"
"Now That You Got It":

The last song was "Orange County Girl"
The encore - NO DOUBT!!!!! No fucking Doubt!
I was excited, to say the least!
The beginning of "Just A Girl" started playing as the stage lights turned back on with with the words "No Doubt" lighting up the stage. The collective scream from the audience was deafening, like literally, my ears went pppplllthhzzz for a few seconds.
They performed "Just A Girl," "Hella Good," "Sunday Morning," and "Spiderwebs."
Tony! Tom! Adrian in boxer briefs! Gwen doing push-ups!
Gwen: "I don't think I need to introduce these guys:
Audience: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhHHHHHH"
Gwen: "What No Doubt song would everyone like to hear? We, like, know them all."
Audience: "AAAhhhhrunningaaaaaaahhhhhtrappedinaboxaaaahhhhhhhhspiderwebsaaaaaaaaahh"
Gwen gave Tony a noogie. Heehee!
