In my opinion, the biggest contributors of awkward and tacky celebrity photos are Entertainment Weekly and The Face.  The best bad photographer is Terry Richardson.

P.S. Nice point about the Pepsi/Coke thing. My family calls all soft drinks "coke" even when they are not Coke. When I go to a restuarant and ask for a coke I really mean a Pepsi because I prefer Pepsi. When the server says they don't have Coke, but is Pepsi okay, I am actually glad.
